NASA Rockets to Fly Through the Atmosphere in October 2023
NASA is set to launch two rockets into the atmosphere this October, and it’s sure to be an incredible sight! The two rockets, named Terrier-Improved Malemute and Black Brant IX, will be launched from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, and will be visible along the East Coast of the United States. The Terrier-Improved Malemute will fly for two and a half minutes, while the Black Brant IX will fly for six minutes, reaching an altitude of about 129 miles. During the launch, the rockets will release colorful clouds of vapor that will be visible from the ground. This vapor trail will be released in order to study the atmosphere and its behavior at different altitudes. This launch is sure to be an incredible sight that no one will want to miss!
