Unlocking the Mysteries of the Universe with NASA's James Webb Space Telescope and the Deep Space Network
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is about to get a major upgrade as NASA prepares to incorporate the Deep Space Network (DSN) into the telescope’s operations. The DSN is a worldwide network of antennas designed to communicate with and control spacecraft that are beyond Earth’s orbit. By incorporating the DSN into JWST’s operations, the telescope will be able to communicate with spacecraft at much greater distances in the depths of space. This upgrade will also allow the telescope to transmit more data back to Earth, which will help astronomers further explore the universe.
