The data showed that only 30 percent of German students were able to perform at the highest level in math, and only 22 percent achieved the highest level in science. This is significantly lower than the OECD average of 40 percent for both math and science. The report also found that German students are more likely to struggle with problem-solving and critical thinking than their peers from other countries.
