Unlocking the Potential of Second Harmonic Generation Through Strain Engineering
Recent research has revealed an exciting new technique for boosting second harmonic generation in materials. By stacking two layers of strain on top of each other, scientists were able to dramatically enhance second harmonic generation in a sample of lithium niobate.
