SpaceX Dragon Crew to Make History With First-Ever Crewed Launch to the ISS
Today marks a monumental moment in space exploration history as SpaceX’s Dragon Crew spacecraft launches atop a Falcon 9 rocket, carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) for a six-month mission. This mission is the first time that SpaceX has launched humans into space, a major milestone for the company. Led by Commander Shane Kimbrough, the four astronauts will spend six months conducting research and experiments aboard the ISS, focusing on a variety of topics from human health to technological advancements in space exploration. The mission will also be the first time that SpaceX has returned humans from space, with the Dragon Crew spacecraft scheduled to return to Earth in August.
