Scientists Witness the Flattest Explosion Ever Recorded in Space!
Scientists have recently discovered what is being referred to as the flattest explosion in space ever recorded! The explosion, which is known as a gamma-ray burst (GRB), occurred in the constellation of Orion, and was observed by the Hubble Space Telescope. The explosion is thought to have been caused by two ultra-dense neutron stars colliding with each other at nearly the speed of light.
The explosion was so powerful that it created a massive shockwave that spread outward and created a ripple effect in the surrounding space. Scientists were amazed to find that the shockwave was so powerful that it created a perfect cone-like shape, with a width of only 1.5°. This makes it the flattest GRB ever recorded! The cone shape is believed to be due to the ultra-dense neutron stars having a higher mass than other GRBs, which caused them to be expelled at a much higher speed. This higher speed resulted in the shockwave spreading out in a more uniform manner, creating the cone shape.
