How Robotic Technology is Helping Students with Disabilities Stay Focused
Robotics technology has recently been developed to help students with disabilities stay focused in the classroom. A new robotic system has been designed to encourage students to stay on task and to alert teachers if a student’s attention starts to wander. The robot, named “Robo-Sitter” uses a combination of facial recognition and artificial intelligence to monitor students and provide feedback in real time. It can detect when a student is off-task and provide the teacher with a notification. This notification can be used to prompt the student to refocus on their work. By providing immediate feedback and support, Robo-Sitter has the potential to significantly improve focus and attention in the classroom.
