A new health initiative, Health-LinkedNZ, is being rolled out to primary schools around the country this November. Health-LinkedNZ is a program developed by the Ministry of Health to improve health outcomes for primary school-aged children. The program focuses on teaching children about healthy lifestyle choices, such as healthy eating, physical activity, and mental wellbeing. It also seeks to create an environment that encourages healthy behaviour, through activities such as health education, sports and recreation, and mental health support. The program is set to be implemented in all primary schools in New Zealand by 2023. This is an exciting move towards improving the health and wellbeing of our children.
