Recent research has shown that quark-gluon plasma (QGP), a form of matter believed to have existed during the first few microseconds of the universe’s existence, may be created with much less energy than previously thought. This could open the door to new ways of studying the properties of this primordial matter.

The discovery, made by an international team of physicists, was published in the journal Physical Review Letters.

Excerpt: Scientists have discovered that it may be possible to create quark-gluon plasma (QGP), a form of matter believed to have existed shortly after the Big Bang, at much lower energies than previously thought. This could open up new possibilities for studying the properties of this primordial matter and further our understanding of the universe’s origins.
