Preparing for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope Launch in 2023
Nancy Grace Roman, the “Mother of Hubble”, is set to become the first woman to be honored with a space telescope. On December 9th, the space telescope will be named in her honor. This marks the first time a space telescope has been named after a woman.
Nancy Grace Roman is a true pioneer in the field of astronomy. She was the first Chief of Astronomy at NASA and played a major role in the development of the Hubble Space Telescope. Her work at NASA was instrumental in opening the door for women in the field of astronomy.
We are so excited to see Nancy Grace Roman honored in this way! It’s an incredible accomplishment and a reminder of the progress that has been made in the field of astronomy. We can’t wait to see what the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will discover!
