To help combat these threats, scientists at the University of Oxford have developed a “menu” of biosecurity tools that can be used to identify and prevent the introduction of invasive species into a region. These tools are designed to detect a species before it becomes established in a new location, and can be tailored to a region’s specific needs and resources. By utilizing this toolkit, communities can proactively protect their land, food sources, and native species.
