NASA's Voyager Science & Power Strategy: What We Can Learn from the Mission
NASA’s Voyager mission has been a source of inspiration and knowledge since its launch in 1977. The mission has enabled us to explore the outermost reaches of our solar system, providing incredible insight into the universe beyond. Now, NASA is applying the lessons learned from Voyager to a new science and power strategy. By taking advantage of the vast amounts of data provided by Voyager, NASA scientists are able to develop new strategies for understanding the solar system and its environment. Through this strategy, we are able to increase our understanding of the planets, moons, comets, and asteroids in our solar system, as well as the planets in other star systems. The data provided by Voyager also allows us to better monitor solar activity and better prepare for future space missions. NASA’s Voyager science and power strategy is a revolutionary step forward in our exploration of the universe.
