NASA's Curiosity Rover Celebrates 1000 Days on Mars
NASA’s Curiosity Rover has just made history! After five and a half years on the red planet, the rover has just clocked up 2,000 Martian days or sols on Mars. This milestone marks a major achievement in the history of space exploration, as Curiosity is the longest-running robotic mission to the planet. The rover has been exploring the Gale Crater, a crater the size of Connecticut, since August of 2012, and has sent back some incredible images and data about Mars. With this milestone, Curiosity continues to make new discoveries and push the boundaries of exploration.
