A large asteroid is set to fly by Earth this week that has an incredibly small chance of hitting us. The asteroid, named 2021 GW4, is estimated to be between 40 and 100 meters long and is due to pass by Earth on April 8th. Though the chances of it hitting us are incredibly small, NASA is still tracking the asteroid to make sure it won’t pose a threat to our planet. Due to the asteroid’s size and speed, if it did hit Earth it could cause considerable damage. Thankfully, experts have predicted that the asteroid will miss us and be deflected into an orbit that will take it further away from the planet.
