LAMOST DR10 Reaches 10 Million Spectra Milestone
A new data release from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) has recently been made available to the public. Dubbed DR10, this new data release consists of 10 million stellar spectra, making it the largest single data release of its kind to date. These spectra were collected over the span of eight years, from 2011 to 2019, from the LAMOST survey in the Northern Galactic Cap of the sky. This new data release will allow researchers to explore the stars in our Milky Way in unprecedented detail. In addition, the data is expected to provide valuable insight into the formation and evolution of our galaxy and the universe as a whole. This data release is sure to revolutionize astronomical research and discovery!
