After analyzing data from the MESSENGER probe, they discovered that the surface of Mercury is much safer for the development of ecosystems than previously thought.

According to the study, the surface of Mercury is not only safe from meteorite impacts, but also receives enough sunlight to make it a viable environment for the growth of various forms of life. Additionally, due to the planet’s low gravity, a wide range of organisms could potentially survive on Mercury’s surface.
