We live in a universe full of awe-inspiring astronomical phenomena, and one of the most recent discoveries is a new galaxy, J1135, located approximately 450 million light-years away from us. A team of astronomers from the University of California, Santa Cruz, recently found this galaxy and have been studying it in order to gain insight into the early evolution of galaxies. After analyzing J1135, the team found that it was made of two distinct components, which could indicate that it was formed from a merger of two separate galaxies. This discovery is particularly interesting, as it could provide clues about how galaxies form and evolve over time.
