Tracking the Red Planet: Exploring Mars with the ExoMars Mission
Today marks a major milestone for space exploration: the first successful mission to Mars, ExoMars! ExoMars is a joint venture between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Russian space agency Roscosmos, and its goal is to track the Red Planet and its environment. The mission will collect data on the atmosphere and its composition, as well as the surface topography and geology of the planet. It will also search for signs of past and present life, and analyze the effects of the Martian environment on its surface. All this data will help us better understand the history of our neighboring planet and its potential for human habitation.
