Europe to Launch its First Multi-Purpose Habitat to the Moon in 2023
Europe is gearing up to become the first space power to construct a multi-purpose habitat on the moon. The European Space Agency (ESA) is close to finalizing a contract with the French space firm Thales Alenia Space to build the habitat as part of the agency’s plans to establish a permanent presence on the moon.
The habitat will be used as a research facility and will provide a safe environment for astronauts to live and work while carrying out experiments and exploring the moon. It will also serve as a base of operations for future missions to Mars and other deep-space destinations. The habitat will be constructed from parts that are already in orbit around the moon and will be launched in 2023.
ESA is making history as the first space agency to construct a multi-purpose habitat on the moon. This groundbreaking project will open up the possibility of deep-space exploration and provide a safe environment for astronauts to live and work. We look forward to seeing the results of this ambitious project in 2023!
