Unlocking the Potential of Advanced BTS Materials for Use in High Temperature, Long Wave Applications
A new breakthrough in advanced materials science could revolutionize the way we use thermal energy. Scientists have recently developed a material that can absorb long wave infrared radiation, trapping heat to keep surfaces warm and reducing energy usage. This material, known as the Black Tungsten Sulfide (BTS), has been shown to maintain temperatures up to 10 times higher than traditional materials when exposed to the same amount of heat. What’s more, BTS can also retain heat for longer periods of time, meaning it could be used to maintain warmth in homes, offices and other environments. This could result in a drastic reduction in energy bills and a more efficient use of thermal energy.
