A California company has made history by launching the world’s first 3D-printed rocket into space. On March 23rd, 2023, Astra, a Silicon Valley start-up, successfully launched their 3D-printed rocket from a launchpad in Alaska. The rocket, named “Rocket 1.0,” stands as a testament to the possibilities of 3D printing technology, and has opened up the possibility of cheaper, easier access to space.
