New Analysis Suggests LK99 Could Be an Even Better Superconductor
A new computational analysis paper has just been published that says LK99, an organic-inorganic hybrid superconductor, can be modified to be even better than it already is. The paper, published in the journal Physical Review B, is the latest in a string of research that suggests that this material could be an ideal superconductor. The paper found that LK99 has a high critical temperature of over 200K, which is well above the boiling point of water, and could be further improved by adding a small amount of lithium. This could potentially make the material even more efficient and useful for a variety of applications.
