Exploring Deeper Into the Mystery of Planet Formation with ALMA
Recently, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) telescope has made an incredible discovery that may help us unlock the mystery of planet formation. This discovery involves the observation of a protoplanetary disk that is very young, and thus allows us to observe a part of the planet formation process that could not be seen before. This disk also contains two gaps that could have been created by forming planets, providing evidence that planets can form much faster than previously thought. This is an incredibly exciting discovery as it could help us to better understand planet formation and the universe around us.
