Enabling Ultra-Fast Amplitude-Only Spatial Modulation with a New Route
Recent developments in optical communication technology have made it possible to send data at ultra-fast speeds. Now, researchers have developed a novel route to ultra-fast amplitude-only spatial modulation (AOSM) that could enable even faster transmission of data over optical links. The approach is based on using a single laser beam to modulate the amplitude of multiple data streams with different spatial distributions. This means that data can be transmitted at much faster rates than is possible with conventional methods. The researchers believe that their technique could have a significant impact on the future of high-speed optical communication systems.
